Reset and Cleanse With Lauren Berlingeri: 5 Health Tips for Busy Lifestyles
Today, detoxing has become mandatory. We’re exposed to thousands of toxins every single day, no matter how clean we try to live. From the air we breathe, to the food we eat, and even the digital devices we use, toxins are everywhere. It’s no longer a luxury or a trend, it’s a necessity for everyone who wants to feel their best and take care of their body.
When I first started detoxing, it was during my modeling days. Back then, it was all about losing weight or clearing my skin. I didn’t think much about how detoxing could affect how I felt or the health of my body, just the way I looked. But the first time I truly developed a healthy mindset around detoxing was when I started focusing on fertility and pregnancy. It became so much bigger than vanity. Detoxing wasn’t just about me anymore, it was about the health of my babies, my family, and my future.
With that in mind, here are the 5 most effective ways I detox and how you can, too.
1. Sweating It Out with Infrared Therapy: My Favorite Detox Tool
One of the easiest and most enjoyable ways I detox is through sweating, especially with infrared therapy. Infrared therapy can help with detoxification at the cellular level, cardiovascular health, pain and inflammation, and muscle injuries. Using an infrared sauna has become a staple in my routine. I aim for at least three deep sweat sessions a week. The red light uses low levels of heat and doesn’t hurt or burn the skin, and the infrared therapy penetrates deep into my tissues, helps with long-lasting health problems, and releases toxins while promoting relaxation and a whole-body reset.
Lauren’s Tip: When I’m in the sauna, I make sure to use the HigherDOSE Sweat Band with Endorphin Oil. Not only does the band help me sweat more, but it also amplifies the detox process and boosts the feel-good effects. The endorphin oil, which is castor oil-based, works wonders for promoting detox, especially when paired with the infrared heat.

2. Supporting the Lymphatic System: Dry Brushing and Rebounding
Detoxing isn’t just about sweating, it’s also about keeping your body’s detox pathways open and flowing. For me, this starts with dry brushing. Every morning, I dry brush to stimulate lymphatic drainage and wake up my circulation. Other benefits of dry brushing include detoxing the skin, stimulating your nervous system, and giving your skin a natural radiance and glow. I follow this with a quick rebounder session (my favorite mini trampoline!) to get my blood moving. This helps keep my body in detox mode all day long.
Lauren’s Tip: To really enhance my lymphatic system’s flow, I also make sure to do a quick 15-minute walk or run every day. This simple habit, in addition to dry brushing and rebounding, keeps me feeling light, energized, and moves all the toxins out.

3. Eat Clean, Whole Foods
I don’t follow a strict diet, but I do make sure that my meals are clean and nutrient dense. I aim for antioxidant-rich vegetables, fiber-packed fruits, healthy fats, and wild proteins. A recent favorite of mine is the Medical Medium Detox Smoothie, which has spirulina, chlorella, kelp, and other ingredients that help flush out heavy metals and toxins.
Lauren’s Tip: I drink this smoothie regularly as part of my morning routine, and it’s been a game-changer. The combination of spirulina and chlorella really helps reset my system after a busy day. This smoothie isn’t just a detoxifier, it boosts my energy and keeps me feeling strong and clear.
4. Hydration Is Key: Purity in Every Sip
Water is the foundation of any detox, and I don’t take that lightly. I always opt for filtered or mountain water, and I avoid plastic at all costs. Glass bottles are my go-to for hydration. Although I can’t control every bit of plastic I consume, I try to make sure it doesn’t enter my home, and I’m mindful of the things I use around my food.
Lauren’s Tip: To supercharge my water, I add HigherDOSE Detox Drops with chlorophyll, magnesium, and milk thistle. These drops are a quick, easy way to give my water a detox boost. I drink this throughout the day, ensuring I’m staying hydrated while supporting my body’s natural cleansing process.
5. The Power of Water Fasting
Sometimes, even with daily detoxing, I feel the need for a deeper reset. One of the more advanced techniques I use is water fasting. While I practice intermittent fasting on a daily basis (typically 16:8), I also incorporate 24-hour or 3-7 day water fasts a few times a year when I feel my body needs it. This practice helps clear out deeper toxins, reset my digestive system, and give my body time to rest.
Lauren’s Tip: If you’re considering trying water fasting, be sure to consult with your doctor. I did a deep dive on how to properly do a water fast with Dr. Mindy on the BiohackHERs podcast. She shares all the essential tips for doing a water fast safely, including the right way to hydrate, supplement, and listen to your body. If you’re comfortable with daily detoxing and want to try an advanced 72-hour water fast, give this episode a listen.
