Level 1 | 3hz - Delta Brain Wave
3 Hz is for deep relaxation and can help with falling asleep and staying asleep. When we are in a very deep sleep, our brains are typically in Delta. This can occur throughout the night, but it is typically the most intense in the hour after we've fallen asleep. Often times, this is the deepest sleep we get into during the night and this allows the brain to slow down dramatically - ultimately giving the body a chance catch up, facilitating healing and regeneration of tissues.
Level 1 can be used before sleep to help you drift off and keep you in this body-brain nurturing state. In the waking hours, level 1 can also be helpful if you are feeling anxious and want a boost back to equilibrium.
Level 2 | 7.8hz - Theta Brain Wave + Schumann Resonance
The Earth's natural frequency, also known as the Schumann Resonance, is 7.8 Hz! When you're feeling disconnected or overstimulated from computer and cell phone usage, or can't get outside, use Level 2 to recharge and reconnect.
7.8hz is in the Theta brain wave, which can also be accessed during sleep. This portion of our night is known as dream sleep which only accounts for about one third of the total sleep time.

Level 4 | 23hz - Beta Brain Wave
Beta brain wave is present during our waking hours when we are most alert, focused, and involved in daily living and decision making. By using level 4, Beta waves are stimulated and promote improved mental function, increased concentration, and improved memory. Avoid using level 4 before bedtime, or if you are feeling anxious.
*The mat's PEMF cycle is 20 minutes long with 100-minute breaks in between. This cycle repeats 4 times before shutting off completely.
When heated, the 20lbs of crystals within the mat produce negative ions, which are like antioxidants in the air. These ions neutralize free radicals and can improve your mood by directly impacting your serotonin levels. Your body and mind stay balanced and you can get high naturally.
Whatever you want! There are no recommendations or restrictions for clothing while using the mat. Keep in mind though that the infrared heat goes up to 70 degrees Celsius, so you may want to wear something comfortable in between.
After each session, we suggest keeping a dry towel handy to absorb any sweat left behind. We recommend using a nontoxic disinfectant wipe or spray to sanitize the material parts of the mat. For the mesh areas where the crystals are, we recommend using a hand vacuum to remove any dust or debris after your session. Leave the mat open to cool and dry completely before packing away.
Unlike the Infrared Sauna Blanket, you don't need any clean up or setup to get the benefits of PEMF and infrared. You can use this mat wherever, whenever, as many times as you want.
We recommend wearing long sleeves, long pants, and socks while in the blanket, as well as lining the blanket with a thick towel. This will absorb any sweat released during your session and provide comfort while lying on top of the heat source. Or you can use our sauna blanket insert!
Our blankets are made of high-grade, non-toxic and water-resistant polyurethane on both the interior and exterior. The product's non-toxicity has been confirmed through stringent VOC testing.
The blanket is 71" by 71" unfolded, with a maximum interior circumference of 65". We have successfully fit clients up to 6' into the blanket. However, we have found that by opening the foot flap more room can be achieved lengthwise.
The blanket ranges from 68 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit. However, there are various ways to measure the temperature, such as interior surface, inside air, and more. It is fully adjustable with a handheld controller attached to the blanket and programmed for 60 minutes but can be shut off at any time.
We suggest keeping a dry towel handy to absorb any sweat left behind after each session. We recommend then using a nontoxic disinfectant wipe or spray to sanitize the blanket. We like Seventh Generation's because it's gentle and non-abrasive to the blanket, but effective at removing bacteria. Leave the blanket open to dry and cool down completely before folding and packing away.
After the blanket has cooled down completely, close the blanket to meet the Velcro. Make sure the blanket is flat and smooth. Fold the blanket in half lengthwise from left to right. Then fold the blanket in thirds from top to bottom. This fold will allow the blanket to fit back into its original box. We recommend storing the blanket in a cool area, away from any heat and moisture.

We offer both physical gift cards and E-gift cards for spa sessions and/or at-home products. Physical gift cards can be purchased at any of our locations, and come with a small envelope. Our E-gift cards can be purchased on our website here. These can be printed or delivered to your recipient via email.
HigherDOSE gift cards do not expire, are transferrable, and can be made out to any custom amount.

PayPal: We accept PayPal on both desktop and mobile. If you have a balance in your PayPal account, that balance will automatically be used before your backup payment method (which you’ll select at the time of purchase).
QuadPay/ZIP: Paying with QuadPay will allow you to split your credit or debit card payment into 4 installments that are paid over six weeks, with no interest and no fees when you pay on time.

What do I wear in the sauna?
All sauna rooms are private. Some clients wear bathing suits or undergarments in the sauna, but most wear only the provided towels. Basically... however you feel most comfortable!
We do recommend loose, comfortable clothing for after your session, as you may still feel warm.
How long can we stay?
Plan out your sauna time accordingly. Here's our recommended usage time:
For QuickDOSE sessions: You have 30 minutes for the room, including sauna time. Jump out of your clothes and into the sauna for 20 minutes, allowing 5 minutes to cool down and change after your session.
For FullDOSE sessions: You have 60 minutes for the room, including sauna time. We like to spend 45 minutes in the sauna, and 15 minutes to cool down and change afterwards.
Staying longer than your allotted time delays other guests. Please spend time after your session in our lobby or in our shop!
Additional time spent in the room is subject to $2.50/per minute charge.
What is HigherDOSE etiquette?
Infrared saunas are sensitive technology, please treat our room and equipment with respect.
Please close the doors gently during your session, so that the sauna stays warm for you, and after your session so the next DOSEr has a great session too.
A few Don'ts:
- NO shoes in the sauna
- NO food in the sauna
- NO outside food or beverages in the rooms
- No alcohol in the room, sauna, or lobby.
I don't feel well. What should I do about my session?
Your safety and the safety of our staff is of the utmost importance to us. If you are not feeling well, please do not attend your session. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we would be more than happy to assist you with rescheduling your session.
What are your safety protocols?
Health, Safety, and Cleanliness at HigherDOSE
We have outlined our policies and procedures below and encourage you to reach out with any questions or concerns.
CLEANING SERVICES: Our staff performs deep cleaning nightly and thoroughly disinfects rooms and saunas after each session.
EPA CLEANING PRODUCTS: All cleaning products are EPA approved disinfectants for all surfaces and will be used after every session. We are using CaviWipes (EPA 46781-13) and Micro-Scientific disinfectant cleaning agents. (EPA 70144-1)
PPE EQUIPMENT PROTOCOL: Our team is required to wear face masks when greeting clients and gloves while cleaning. Clients must wear masks outside of the sauna and lymphatic drainage treatment rooms.
CLEANING PROTOCOL: All surfaces and equipment will be disinfected after each client visit. All garbage bins are hygienically safe using closed bins for tissues, paper towels, etc. All surfaces will be cleaned with paper towels or EPA approved wipes instead of microfiber cloths.
SCHEDULE GAPS: We have created larger gaps between sessions to provide ample amount of time for cleaning and disinfecting between clients. These gaps will avoid any overlap in client sessions and allow for comfortable and socially distanced check in and check out procedures.
CLIENT WAIVER: Prior to each appointment COVID-19 Waivers will be automatically sent after each appointment is booked and required to sign before every session for every service type.
STAFF TRAINING & POLICIES: Our team has gone through extensive training for COVID-19 protocols and policies for cleaning our service rooms, the use of PPE equipment, handling equipment and packages, and CDC safety reminders.
In order to maintain our staff and client safety they will be required to follow a screening checklist for each client which will include but not limited to fever, shortness of breath, cough, etc.
HigherDOSE has instituted a firm policy around our staff reporting to work. If they have experienced any symptoms or have been exposed to anyone with COVID-19 they will follow current CDC guidelines before returning to work.
SIGNAGE: New signage has been created to cue staff and clients to frequently wash hands, wear respiratory protection, and physical distancing reminders of remaining 6ft apart.
I have a package. Do I have to book a reservation?
We are so excited to hear you've invested in your wellbeing by purchasing a package of sauna sessions! We recommend booking your sessions in advance for ease upon arrival.
Do I need to book a reservation, or can I walk-in?
Sessions can be booked online on our website www.higherdose.com or by giving us a call at (917)398-DOSE (3673). However, walk-ins are always welcome, pending availability.
If you are hoping to visit on a weekend, we highly recommend booking in advance as these sessions book up the fastest.
What are your days and hours of operation?
We are open seven days a week, however based on the type of session you'd like to book, hours can vary.

Do you accept cash?
HigherDOSE does not accept cash or checks for appointment bookings, only for gratuity. We accept all major credit cards.
When do I pay for my appointment?
All of our sessions require payment at the time of booking, unless you have a package of sessions - at which point the session would be marked as redeemed and removed from your account for use that day.
Running late to your session?
Life happens, we understand! If you're running late to your session, we ask that you call ahead so our team is prepared for your later arrival time. We will do our best to accommodate your session, but in the event there is an appointment after your session, we will only be able to offer you the time you have remaining. We cannot guarantee your full session time will be available.
What are your cancellation and rescheduling policies?
Upon booking your session, you will receive an email with your appointment details. Please review it carefully and contact us immediately if there any errors.
The easiest way to change or cancel an appointment is online using the "My Account" link on any booking page or send an email to email@example.com.
Paid sessions cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours of the scheduled time will be forfeited.
Paid sessions cancelled or rescheduled with more than 24 hours notice will be credited to your HigherDOSE MindBody account for future use.
All sales are final. All sessions purchased expire one year from the date of purchase unless otherwise noted.
For purchased services that are no longer available at a location, no refund will be issued as long as such purchased services are available at another location.

Returns + Exchanges
We do not accept returns at our retail store without previous contact with our team. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to initiate a return request.
We offer a 14-day return policy for unopened products. Return shipping will be at the customer’s expense.
We do not accept opened or used products for sanitary and safety reasons. If opened, only defective products will be accepted for exchange.
To be eligible for an exchange, please contact us at email@example.com with your order information and thorough details of what you are experiencing with the product. We will assist you with troubleshooting, and if necessary replace the item entirely.
Please do not send your purchase back without contacting us first, or your exchange will not be processed. We will provide you with a prepaid return label and will then be able to track when your purchase has been received at our facility.
Upon receiving the product back at our facility, it will undergo inspection, at which point we will share any findings with you. If the product is deemed to be defective, it will be replaced at no cost to you. Depending on where you live and available inventory, the time it may take for your replacement product to reach you, may vary.
