The Skin Stack: Ignite your Glow

The Skin Stack: Ignite your Glow
Ready to Glow? Here’s Everything You Need To Know.

SOS: SAVE OUR SKIN

Did you know that only 10% of skin aging is actually caused by age, and that many aspects of modern life contribute to accelerated aging in our skin? How many of these common stressors apply to you?

  • Not enough Zzz’s
Have you ever been told that you “look tired?” Not exactly a compliment, right? But it’s true – when we hit the hay, our skin goes into repair mode. Missing out on a quality night’s sleep can have you facing increased inflammation, reduced bounce back from the day’s stressors, and less collagen.
  • Alcohol + Tobacco
Not only does alcohol severely dehydrate the skin, excessive alcohol use can contribute to shrinking blood vessels, under eye puffiness, and it can cause redness and inflammation that make wrinkles stand out more. Tobacco use can cause oxidative damage and reduced blood flow, slowing down the normal turnover process that keeps skin looking fresh.
  • Here comes the Sun
The Sun is a big part of our life source – its light grows crops for food, its rays give us vitamin D, and its warmth puts us in a great mood after a long, gray winter. However, its rays can also be harmful to our skin. While UVB rays can cause a sunburn, UVA rays penetrate deeper and damage elastin fibers and destroy collagen. Besides sun spots and increased hyperpigmentation, excessive sun exposure may even lead to skin cancer.

This all sounds very scary, and with good reason – we want to be healthy and looking our best for as long as possible. And luckily, that’s well within our reach.

  • Stay Hydrated
Limit your coffee and alcohol intake and double down on H20. We’ve all heard the general rule of thumb is 8 glasses of water a day, but we can also offset water loss by having a glass of water for each caffeinated drink we have throughout the day. Limit moisture draining by taking short showers in warm water (not hot!) and using a humidifier near your bed during the winter.
  • SPF is a Must Have
SPF isn’t only for beach days. Lather up anytime you leave the house, even if it’s cloudy! Find a marine-safe sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or more for best protection. Bonus points for seeking shade when outdoors and wearing sunglasses with UV protection.
  • Eat the Rainbow
Eating a balanced diet with a wide variety of fruits and vegetables can boost your antioxidant intake, which can help fight free radicals and prevent premature skin aging.
  • Stack your Skin Care with Red Light Therapy
“Stacking” is a biohacking strategy for combining a series of powerful wellness steps into one supercharged ritual. By adding new habits onto existing ones, you are able streamline, simplify, and elevate your routine – all at the same time. Stacking is a particularly potent strategy when it comes to skincare and we can double that DOSE by combining skincare with Red Light Therapy.

THE PERKS:

Red Light is a safe way to absorb the rejuvenating light of the sun, without the harmful UV rays – that’s something to glow about!

We love Red Light because…

  • Increases Collagen and Elastin Production: Red light therapy stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, which can improve skin texture and firmness.

  • Reduces Wrinkles and Fine Lines: By promoting cellular repair and regeneration, red light therapy can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines on the neck and chest.

  • Improves Skin Tone and Texture: Red light therapy can help even out skin tone and texture, reducing the appearance of sunspots and other discolorations.

  • Increases Hydration: Red light therapy has been shown to increase skin hydration, which can help combat dryness and flakiness.

  • Reduces Inflammation: Red light therapy has anti-inflammatory properties, which can help reduce redness, irritation, and swelling.

  • Boosts Circulation: Red light therapy can improve blood flow to the skin, which can help deliver nutrients and oxygen to the cells and promote healing.

  • Stimulates the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate): Red light therapy can stimulate production of ATP in skin cells, promoting cell regeneration and repair.

  • Targets the thyroid gland: helping to regulate hormone levels and promote overall health and wellness.

  • Regulate the body’s cortisol levels: Red light therapy has also been found to regulate cortisol levels,  which play a crucial role in the circadian rhythm.

THE STEPS:

We created The Skin Stack to meet our own skincare dreams: a professional-grade routine that regenerates skin on a cellular level and ignites natural radiance – in five simple steps:

01: WAKE UP THE BODY

Use your SUPERCHARGE Copper Body Brush to wake up the body, exfoliate the skin, reduce cellulite, and restore electromagnetic balance. Always start at your feet, brushing upward in long, firm strokes aimed towards the heart. This follows the direction that your lymph flows through your body and supports optimal detoxification. Dedicate 3-5 minutes to brushing

02: GET GLOWING

Apply Glow Serum to a gently cleansed face and allow the bio-nutrients to absorb into the skin. This nutrient-dense formula will immediately get to work restoring and repairing your skin. When activated by Red Light, the light-activated formula will supercharge the benefits of your treatment.

03: GET LIT

Secure your HD Red Light Face Mask to your head and treat skin for 10 or 20 minutes. Red Light Therapy is known to regenerate skin cells, stimulate collagen, diminish fine lines, reduce redness, boost your mood, and activate glowing skin. Enjoy an instant lift. Invest in long-term transformation.

04: LOCK IN GLOW

After your treatment is complete, splash your face with icy-cold water and re-apply a few more Glow Serum drops to the face to lock in all-day radiance. Your post-treatment skin will easily soak up this deeply hydrating formula.

05: HIGH-DRATE

Mix one pouch of High-Dration Powder into 6-8 ounces of water. High-drate on repeat throughout the day for lasting radiance. This nutrient-dense electrolyte elixir will quench skin thirst and keep you glowing from the inside out.

HOW TO GET STARTED:

We made the first step simple: we bundled these four radiant tools into The Skin Stack, making it easy for you to invest in a professional-grade, at-home skincare routine.

Here are some other helpful tips for implementing your stack & committing to your healthiest skin ever:

  1. SCHEDULE IN YOUR SKIN: Consistency is key. Try to do the Skin Stack routine at the same time every day. Look for the times of day where you already have strong habits you can build on, and schedule it in then. Never miss your AM Moisturize? Stacking your skincare in the morning is the move. Can’t go to bed without an effective cleanse? Complete the Skin Stack every evening.
  2. BUILD UP TO FULL POWER: While all treatments in the Skin Stack are gentle and noninvasive, these tools are powerful.  If you're new to Red Light or skin serums, start with minimal doses (for example, try 10 minutes of Red Light three times a week) and work your way up to the full Skin Stack routine.
  3. TRUST OUR TOOLS: Our supercharged skincare tools are designed to work together to boost the benefits of each step. Investing in high-quality tools is the most effective way to get the results you are looking for. Keep things simple and don’t add to the Skin Stack routine. The results will come!
  4. LISTEN TO YOUR SKIN: If your skin is feeling extra dry or sensitive, skip the body brush or use the Red Light Face Mask for a shorter period of time. Your body always knows best!
