Fall Equinox & Virgo Solar Eclipse Seasonal Shifts
We feel the seasonal shift in our bones. The mornings are cooler, the evenings begin to darken earlier, and the pace of life begins to slow. After months of long days and late sunsets, autumn always arrives with the equinox, welcoming us back to balance in the Northern Hemisphere.
Our circadian clocks respond instinctively to less sun: craving more rest, consuming grounding foods, and finding a steady routine after the summer’s flurry of social activity. This transition is encoded in our biology. Seasonal living, whether we practice consciously or not, is about syncing our lifestyle to the earth and honoring nature’s rhythm.
Understanding Autumn & Full Year Cycles
-
Spring Equinox (March 20) is the true seasonal new year, a time of renewal and beginnings, when seeds are planted both in the soil and in our lives.
-
Summer Solstice (June 20) is high growth, outward energy, and social expansion. It is the season of action, adventure, and abundance.
-
Autumn Equinox (September 22) is harvest, the natural moment to gather what has ripened, slow down, and prepare for the season of rest. It invites gratitude, structure, and grounding.
-
Winter Solstice (December 21) is release and restoration, a descent into stillness where the body and spirit replenish for the next cycle of growth.

The equinox is the pause between light and dark, the reminder that balance is not static but cyclical. Historically, pagans associated this time with giving thanks for the harvest, storing food, and preparing for leaner months ahead. Rituals honored balance: bonfires, feasts, and offerings symbolized both abundance and the impermanence of light.
In modern life, we may not gather crops, but we can still gather the fruits of our labor. The equinox is an invitation to take stock of what has grown, to celebrate achievements, and to reorganize priorities for the slower seasons to come.
Why Equinox in September 2025 Is Spicy
This September, the fall carries some additional astrological spice! We are in the midst of eclipse season, a time of heightened energy when ‘fated’ events mark endings, beginnings, changes, and releases. Like a karmic punctuation mark and cosmic checkpoint.
The Virgo New Moon Solar Eclipse will coincide with the Autumn Equinox, happening consecutively between September 21-September 22nd. This 48 hour window also marks the transition point from Virgo Season to Libra Season. And that’s no coincidence! We are being invited into a portal of transition to refine our habits and bring more balance into the body.
What This Virgo Eclipse and Equinox Means
Virgo is the sign of body, health, habits and daily service. In 2025, the South Node of karmic release (Ketu) is moving through our beloved mutable earth sign. The cosmic assignment asks us to let go of shadow qualities associated with Virgo: anxiety, overanalyzing, control and self-neglect. Everyone, and especially those with Virgo placements (sun, moon, rising), needs to be prioritize rituals that better support their physical experience.

How to Support Your Body and Prepare
Here are a few ways to support your body during this seasonal and astrological shift:
Embrace Grounding Rituals
Embrace the harvest by eating local seasonal farm food, walking barefoot in nature, forest bathing and using the Infrared PEMF Mat on level 2 theta brainwave (7.8hz) which emulates the earth’s core frequency.
Go Offline
Eclipses are times of heightened sensitivity, where the bombardment of stimuli and screens can overwhelm the system. Practice mindfulness and give yourself a 24 hour break from your phone. If that’s difficult, try putting it on airplane mode for a few hours during the day when you’re not dependent on using it for work or plans.
Detox
This is the perfect window between summer social activities and holiday festive parties to give your body (and liver) a reset. We’re all about non-judgement with health journeys, so instead of looking at this as a punishment for indulging, find rituals that make discipline luxurious. My favorite pick? The Sweat It Out Ritual, lathering Endorphin Oil on with a Sweat Band to amplify your Sauna Blanket session.
Tend to Nutrition and the Nervous System
Virgo rules over the gut-brain axis, so this season is especially important to eat gut-friendly foods that are supportive to your bio-individual diet. We recommend checking out Teri Cochrane Wildatarian Method if you’re not familiar with dietary epigenetics. Practices like journaling, meditation and bath rituals with our Serotonin Soak Salt can also help support more calm.
Habit Stack
We’re rewiring the brain to ignite healthy dopamine instead of that cheap kind you get doomscrolling on the phone. Reward yourself with more self-care this season, adding on easy-to-execute rituals that blend well with each other. For example, digital detox before bed and substitute with a red light mask meditation session. Practice 10 minutes of breathwork on your Infrared PEMF Go Mat before responding to emails.

Why Balance Is Key
Eclipse seasons often bring intensity, change, and the need to recalibrate. Layered with the equinox, the message is clear: balance is the medicine. If summer left you overstimulated or indulgent, autumn invites discipline. If you have been in constant overdrive, it is time to restore and find alignment.
By honoring the seasonal wheel, living in rhythm with the light and dark, and tending to the body with care, we enter autumn not through force but flow. This is the time to release what no longer serves, create rituals that sustain, and ground yourself in harmony with the cycles of the Earth.
